Arts Assembly
Arts Assembly is a not-for-profit, community-centric arts organization that emphasizes artistic collaboration. The organization is committed to working with social practice and research-based interdisciplinary artists who are expanding the notion of what art can be and do.
Arts Assembly works within an anti-oppression framework and mandates that no fewer than 50 per cent of its Board of Directors are Black, Indigenous, or People of Colour. This mandate also applies to staff. All partner organizations must demonstrate clear commitments to anti-oppression.
Through programming and organizational structure, Arts Assembly honours and contributes to leadership within the creative communities of women, trans, Two-Spirit, and non-binary people. The organization pays CARFAC fees.
