A Heartfelt Thank You to Miah Shull Olmsted

On behalf of CARFAC BC, we express our deep gratitude to Miah Shull Olmsted for their dedicated service as our Board President. While we are saddened to see them step down earlier than expected, we fully understand and support their decision. We remain committed to the principles and projects they set in motion during their tenure as president, and we welcome their continued participation as a Director at Large on our Board of Directors.

It is with both gratitude and best wishes that we announce the departure of Emily Zhang from CARFAC BC. Many of you will know Emily as our first point of contact for many years in their role as Membership and Communications Coordinator. While we are sad to see them leave this position, we want to express our heartfelt appreciation for their contributions to our team, and for Emily’s continued involvement with CARFAC BC as she joins our Board of Directors as a Director at Large.

Congratulations to Trevor Van den Eijnden and Tina Overbury

On February 24, Trevor Van den Eijnden was elected Interim President of the CARFAC BC Board of Directors, and Tina Overbury was elected to the joint position of Treasurer and Secretary. Both have been long-term members of CARFAC BC and bring significant knowledge and experience to their roles.

Welcome to the team, Larissa Blokhuis

We are pleased to welcome our new Membership and Communications Coordinator, Larissa Blokhuis, who joined CARFAC BC in February 2025. This part-time position is a vital role within the organization, and when communicating with us you will most likely be connecting with Larissa first. Thank you for taking on this role.
